Collector-Grade Packaging
A collector judges the box before they judge the statue. Packaging has two jobs: arrive intact, and make the opening feel designed.
Job one: arrive intact.
Most damage in this category happens in transit and is invisible until the box is opened: a cracked base, a bent accessory, paint rubbed off a high point. The cause is usually the same. The packaging was designed for a generic statue rather than this one.
We design the packaging around the actual piece. Structure and cushioning are specified per component, not chosen from a catalogue, with the piece's weight, balance and most fragile features informing where the support goes.
| Format | Approach |
|---|---|
| Retail shelf | Product visible or protected to your retailer's requirement; artwork and copy to your brand |
| Direct-to-collector | Heavier cushioning, shipping-labelled, designed for a courier journey |
| Both | A retail-ready master carton with a shipper over it |
Job two: the opening.
The opening is where a collector decides whether they got something worth what they paid. Foam that has to be torn, a statue wedged so it needs force, a certificate loose in the box: all of it reads as low care, even when the statue itself is perfect.
Layered reveals, a fitted tray, the certificate and number placed where they are found rather than dug out. These cost little and are remembered.

What has to be on the box.
For US-bound product, packaging carries legal requirements as well as marketing ones. We handle marking for what you ship, and coordinate with you on the rest.
- Country of origin
- Marking correctly placed and legible, as US import requires.
- Prop 65
- Warnings applied where the materials used call for them.
- Retailer labelling
- Origin and labelling requirements set by your retailer.
- Barcode placement
- Applied to your specification.
Detailed US compliance guidance is on our Compliance pages.
One thing worth deciding early
Whether the number and certificate are packed inside the sealed retail unit or handed to you separately changes both the packaging structure and your fulfilment process. Decide it before tooling, not after.
The box is part of the product.
Tell us whether the piece ships to a shelf or to a collector. We will design the structure around it.
