DAK Collectibles A division of DAK Industrial

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what we do with the information you send us, and what we do not do with it.

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains what we do with the information you send us, and what we do not do with it. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Two things worth stating up front: we do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers on this site.

Who is responsible for your data

DAK Collectibles, the collectible manufacturing division of DAK Industrial (established 2004, head office in Hong Kong, production in Huizhou, Guangdong), is responsible for the personal data described here.

Contact for privacy matters: info@dakhk.com.

What we collect

Two kinds, from different sources.

Information you send us — the enquiry form

When you submit an enquiry through the contact form, we receive:

  • Name — your name
  • Work email — your email address
  • Company — company or studio name (optional)
  • About the project — the project description you write

What we use it for: replying to your enquiry, assessing the project, preparing a quote, and working with you on it.

What we do not use it for: we do not send marketing email, and we do not add you to any mailing list. If we ever want to send you industry material, we will ask separately.

Information generated automatically — server logs

Our hosting server records access logs (IP address, browser type, time of access, request path). These are technical logs that any website produces. They are used only for security, troubleshooting and abuse prevention, and are retained for up to 30 days.

Unreleased design material you send us

If your enquiry includes unreleased design material — a character, a licensable property, artwork that has not been announced — treat it as confidential commercial information.

How we handle it:

  • It is shared only with the team assigned to that project. It does not go into any shared library.
  • It is not used for any form of display, case study or promotion — see the No naming and No production imagery rules on the portfolio page.
  • Photography is not permitted in production areas.
  • If you want an NDA signed before you send material, we sign first. You do not have to send anything to show good faith.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
  • We do not run advertising, retargeting or behavioural tracking on this site.
  • We do not use third-party analytics that profile visitors.
  • We do not embed third-party widgets that receive your data.
  • We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site does not set cookies and does not use local storage to track you. Fonts are served from this domain rather than a third-party font service, so no request is made to an external provider when you load a page.

Who we share it with

Data is shared only with the service providers who help us operate this site: our hosting provider dedirock (server hosting), and NetEase Enterprise Mail (the mail service that delivers your enquiry to us and our reply to you). They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Where your information is processed

Our production and the team handling enquiries are based in China, where your enquiry is read and answered. Our website and enquiry records are hosted on servers in the United States. If you contact us from the European Economic Area or another jurisdiction with transfer restrictions, your information will therefore be transferred to and processed in the United States and China.

How long we keep it

What How long
Enquiries and correspondence 24 months from the last contact
Server logs Up to 30 days
Material for projects that did not proceed 12 months from the last contact, or deleted or returned earlier on request

Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

To exercise any of these, write to info@dakhk.com. We will respond within one month. If you are in the EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site is addressed to businesses — IP holders, studios, brands and independent creators. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Our products are adult collectibles, graded 14 and over.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting enquiries already in progress will be communicated directly to the people concerned.
