DAK Collectibles A division of DAK Industrial

For IP holders and licensors.

You license characters. Someone has to turn them into physical objects that hold up under daily looking, for years.

What you are actually managing.

A licensed collectible is not only a manufacturing job. It is a set of risks that sit in different places.

Five concerns that sit in five different places. Each one is planned for separately.
Your concernWhere it lives
ConfidentialityWho knows about the piece before announcement, including your manufacturer
FidelityWhether the produced piece still looks like the character that was approved
Edition integrityWhether a limited number is genuinely limited, and numbered honestly
Market accessWhether the product can legally enter, be sold in, and be labelled for its market
Speed to marketWhether the merchandise is on shelf while the property is still hot

How we handle each.

Confidentiality is structural, not a promise. Photography is not permitted inside our production areas. Project files are not shared beyond the team working on them. Process imagery published on this site is deliberately obscured. And we do not use your project as a reference until you allow it.

Fidelity is checked against your approved piece, every batch. Not against our last batch, and not against a photograph. The prototype you sign off is retained as the reference for the whole run.

Edition control is reconciled, not estimated. Numbers issued in order, the range reconciled against the quantity produced, and a controlled reserve held for replacements rather than drawn from the numbered run.

Market access is planned before production, not after. Country-of-origin marking, Prop 65 warnings where applicable, retailer labelling requirements and US import data support, handled with you and recorded, so nothing surprises you at the port.

Two things we will not do.

  • 01We do not approach your licensees or retailers

Your relationships stay yours. We do not contact your licensees, your retailers or your end customers.

  • 02We do not publish that we produced your piece

Not without your written approval. Where you do permit naming, we are glad to credit you, but the decision is always yours.

Production you can put your name on

Every piece leaves matching the prototype you approved. If it does not, it does not ship.

Manufacture the character without risking the licence.

Send us the project and the approvals you need honoured. We will tell you how the run is planned around them.
